A few days ago, in an interview with the media, the chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev took some of the views out of context, diverting social media users with misinterpretations.
The statement came from the Committee, the report said.
The report also says that part of the interview targeted all members of the Milli Majlis for the sake of rating “social network heroes”, and some even went so far as to manipulate the country’s supreme legislative body with baseless slander.
Thus, the statement explains the economic basis of the changes made to the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 305 in August last year, the benefits of this decision, the unfair criticism of several MPs against the changes, and emphasizes that such issues have already been resolved. During the period, all segments of society were informed in detail about the necessity and benefits of the changes, and the implementation of e-commerce in accordance with the law was ensured by eliminating abuses. The Committee always respects the views of the deputies on the activities of the customs authorities, evaluates the proposals and accepts justified comments.
