The Azerbaijan-Belgium Friendship Society has organized a demonstration in support of Azerbaijan.
Demonstrators gathered in Luxembourg Square in front of the European Parliament and raised Azerbaijani and Turkish flags, TRT Haber reported.
Protesters chanted slogans such as “Karabakh is Azerbaijan,” “May God protect the Turkish nation,” “Azerbaijan and Turkey are always brothers and together.”
President of the Azerbaijan-Belgium Friendship Society Ayhan Demirci said the purpose of the demonstration was to support President Ilham Aliyev, who is visiting Brussels.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met with President of the European Council Charles Michel and Prime Minister of Armenia Nicole Pashkinyan in Brussels. The issue of demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan was on the agenda at the meeting, and it was noted that the European Union is ready to provide technical assistance to Azerbaijan in this direction.
Both sides agreed to establish a temporary working group on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. At the same time, the issue of opening communication and transport lines was widely discussed. The Armenian side has reaffirmed its commitment to build a railway from its territory. It was noted that the Armenian side will soon begin construction of the railway.
