The US Federal Reserve’s Open Market Operations Committee has kept the discount rate at 0-0.25%.
This is stated in a press release of the organization, reports “Report”.
The Fed has lowered its forecast for US GDP growth in 2021 from 5.9% to 5.5%, and in 2022 from 3.8% to 4.0%.
In 2023, the country’s economic growth expectations have been reduced from 2.5% to 2.2%. In 2024, GDP growth in the United States is expected to be 2.0%.
The Fed maintained the discount rate at 0-0.25% on November 3.
