Voting in the second and second rounds of Chile’s presidential election will take place today.
Leftist Gabriel Borik and right-wing Republican Jose Antonio Cast are vying for the top job, the report said.
According to a December 3 poll by Cadem, 40% of respondents are ready to vote for Borika and 35% for Caste. The remaining 25% said they were not going to vote or had not yet made a choice.
The first round of presidential elections in Chile was held on November 21. 7 candidates took part in the elections. However, in the first round, none of the candidates managed to get the required number of votes.
According to Chilean law, to win the first round, you need to collect 50% + 1 vote. However, the leaders of the campaign, the right-wing candidate Jose Antonio Cast and his main rival Gabriel Borik received 27.97% and 25.70% of the vote, respectively.
