The Taliban rule out military cooperation with the United States.
The statement came from Abdul Salam Hanafi, who has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, APA reports quoting foreign media.
“The Americans see the serious economic difficulties facing the Afghan people, but they still continue to block Afghanistan’s state resources. We will never allow military cooperation with the Americans. Cooperation can only be humanitarian,” Hanafi said.
Earlier, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said Washington was ready to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, but urged the Taliban to fulfill a number of obligations, including the fight against terrorism.
