A presentation ceremony of the “YOUTH WORKING PEOPLE” Public Union was held in Ganja.
According to the Western Center of the Report, the event was attended by Niyazi Bayramov, head of the Ganja City Executive Power, the Ministry of Economy, KOBIA, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the State Employment Service, the State Agency for Vocational Education, the Turkish-Azerbaijani Union of Businessmen and Industrialists. The leadership and representatives of the Turkish Consulate General in Ganja, hundreds of businessmen and numerous guests, media representatives attended.
“Ganja Businessmen” Public Union unites entrepreneurs operating in Ganja
is a public association that unites around the platform. The goal is to support entrepreneurs and give them access to business opportunities.
Speaking at the event, the head of the Ganja city executive power Niyazi Bayramov said that after the 44-day Victory War, the interest of entrepreneurs and investors in Ganja has increased. As a result, more than 1,500 permanent jobs were created in the city in the first 9 months.
N.Bayramov said that the newly established union will benefit economic activity and increase investment in the region by supporting Ganja businessmen.
Zafar Mammadov, chairman of the Ganja Businessmen Public Union, said the organization was active and its results would be seen in the near future. Noting that the Ganja executive power supports this process, the head of the Union proposed to create new production facilities on the basis of old Soviet-era enterprises to increase economic activity in Ganja. According to him, it would be useful to provide incentives, taxes and other benefits to businessmen.
The head of the organization said that a number of foreign businessmen were ready to invest in Ganja.
Speaking at the event, Turkish Consul General in Ganja Zaki Ozturk said that he would bring together the entrepreneurs of the Ganja Businessmen PU. According to him, Turkish businessmen are planning investment projects in Ganja together with local entrepreneurs.
Natig Hasanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), called the establishment of the new union an important event for the development of entrepreneurship in the region and congratulated the members of the union.
Recalling the historical tradition of entrepreneurship in Ganja, the deputy chairman of KOBIA said that even the Soviet era could not prevent entrepreneurship in the city.
Hasanov said that KOBIA is working in a number of areas to develop entrepreneurship in the country, including improving the business environment, providing access to financial sources, including alternative sources of financing, expanding business services, establishing contacts between entrepreneurs and others.
Speaking at the event, the heads and representatives of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the Vocational Education Agency, the Employment Development Agency noted the great economic potential of the region, the need for manpower for its realization and the implementation of various projects.
At the event, member of the board of Ganja Businessmen PU Jamid Movsumov spoke about the working principle of the union, opportunities to be created by entrepreneurs, methods of support, interest of foreign investors in the region and called on businessmen to be active and take advantage of existing opportunities.
Taro Savado, President of Japan’s TET International Development, who attended the presentation as a foreign investor, briefed the businessmen on the company’s activities and opportunities for cooperation for local businesses, and called on them to cooperate.
The ceremony featured videos on the historical and economic opportunities of Ganja, as well as the activities of the “Ganja Businessmen” PU. It was noted that despite the short time since its inception, the organization already participates in business forums and business meetings, conducts social responsibility actions, as well as is closely involved in solving the problems of veterans and families of martyrs.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Union of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey and Azerbaijan (TUIB) Huseyin Buyukfirat and Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Economic Cooperation Azer Akbarov wished success to the new organization.
