Lebanon will need at least 6-7 years to overcome the current economic crisis.
The statement came from Lebanese President Michel Aoun on a local TV channel, Report reports.
The head of state noted that unemployment and poverty had reached record levels during the two-year crisis.
“Lebanon is clearly changing. The changes will be both ideological and practical, as we face the current situation of robbery, corruption, systemic errors and failures, ”Aun said.
Note that the economic crisis in Lebanon continues from 2019. The exchange rate of the national currency is falling almost every day.
At present, according to the official exchange rate of the Central Bank of Lebanon, $ 1 is 1,500 Lebanese lira.
