Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko had a telephone conversation. The sides discussed topical issues of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of defense.
The statement came from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“During the conversation, the Presidents touched upon the prospects of cooperation between Belarus and Russia, including in the field of defense and other issues,” the statement said.
The presidents also discussed the program of events to be held during the upcoming visit of the Belarusian leader to St. Petersburg.
