The death toll from Hurricane Rai in the Philippines has risen to 397.
The statement came from the National Council for Disaster Relief in the country, TASS reports.
A total of 397 people were killed, 1,147 were injured and 83 were missing.
It is noted that more than 4.23 million people in the country have been affected by the disaster to varying degrees, and power outages continue in 284 settlements.
According to preliminary estimates, the hurricane caused 16.71 billion pesos ($ 330.7 million) and 5.34 billion pesos ($ 105.7 million) in damage to infrastructure and agriculture, respectively. In addition, the disaster completely destroyed more than 167.4 thousand residential buildings and damaged 508.7 thousand buildings.
