The construction of the Fizuli-Hadrut highway, one of the road infrastructure projects implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions and which will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the liberated regions and villages, is underway.
The Fuzuli-Hadrut highway was laid during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to the liberated Fizuli and Khojavend regions on March 16 this year.
The length of the highway is 12 kilometers. This first-class technical road originates from Zafar Yolu and joins the newly built Shukurbayli-Jabrayil-Hadrut highway.
The Fizuli-Hadrut highway will have 4 lanes. According to the traffic lanes, the width of the roadbed will be 21 meters, and the width of the carriageway will be 14 meters.
Earthworks are currently underway on the highway. Thus, the road is being widened and profiled using special equipment and a new landfill is being built in accordance with the first technical level. For this purpose, the necessary number of forces were involved in the area.
The first 8 kilometers of earthworks and road construction have already been completed by 50 percent.
Along with the construction of a 12 km long Fuzuli-Hadrut highway, the project also includes the construction of water pipes of different diameters, as well as a quadrangular waterway for the transmission of valley water to ensure the transfer of atmospheric water along the road. In addition, it is planned to build two overpasses at 6.7 km of the road, passing through the area called “Gargabazar”.
Taking into account the scope of work and the task to complete the project in a short time, the construction is carried out jointly by the local company “Azvirt” LLC as a subcontractor with the “Special Purpose Road Operation No. 16” LLC of the Azerbaijan State Agency of Motor Roads.
The construction work is carried out under the direct supervision of the management of the Azerbaijan State Agency of Motor Roads in accordance with the requirements of the Construction Norms and Rules.
The Fizuli-Hadrut highway passes through the liberated Fizuli and Khojavend districts.
All roads lead to Karabakh.
