An event dedicated to the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held in New York on December 31.
The event was attended by diplomats, leaders of organizations and associations from many fraternal and friendly countries (Turkey, Pakistan, Israel), as well as representatives of the Azerbaijani community living in New York and surrounding states.
The ceremony began with the national anthem. A minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands in the Great Patriotic War.
Telman Jalil, head of the New York-Azerbaijan Cultural Center, Minavvar Vahabova, president of the New York Azerbaijan American Women’s Association, Zefirshan Muradoglu, head of the Federation of Turkish-American Circles, congratulated the guests on the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year. conveyed their best wishes to the Azerbaijani community in the United States.
Speakers spoke about the history of independence of our people, the great achievements of solidarity and unity.
