A fire broke out in the parliament building in Cape Town, South Africa.
Additional forces were called in to fight the blaze, the report said, citing foreign media. It is impossible to localize the fire.
The head of the city’s fire and rescue service, Jermaine Karels, told News24 that the fire also melted the bitumen on the roof:
“It simply came to our notice then. There are also reports that some walls of the building are cracked and there is a possibility of collapse.
