Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdug, who was ousted by the military in November last year, has been released from house arrest and all restrictions have been lifted.
After that, the prime minister headed the government again. The Sudanese military and the ousted prime minister have agreed on a political declaration calling for his return to office and the establishment of a technocratic government.
At least 54 people have been killed and hundreds injured in clashes in Sudan over the past two months.
