A drunk driver caused an accident in Lankaran, leaving 80 families without gas.
According to the Lankaran regional group of the Interior Ministry’s Press Service, a resident of the region, Yalchin Hasanov, lost control of his VAZ 2121 car in the evening in Sutamurdov village and broke the gas line.
As a result, the supply of natural gas to about 80 houses was interrupted for several hours. The driver, who fled the scene after the accident, was identified by officers of the State Traffic Police Department of the Lankaran City District Police Department and brought to the police station together with the car he was driving.
After passing the relevant medical examination, it was established that Hasanov was drunk and was driving after consuming alcohol. The materials collected about him were sent to the Lankaran District Court for legal assessment.
It should be noted that Hasanov was found drunk a few months ago by the state traffic police, and then legal measures were taken against him.
