If Mahir Emreli does not reach an agreement with the Polish club Legia to terminate his contract, the trial could last for months.
The report quoted TVP Sport as saying that the Warsaw representative’s legal department was keeping quiet about the matter.
The publication claims that the 25-year-old striker’s agent from the United States did not fully understand the player’s legal status. “Immediately after the incident, the player must apply for a contract termination within 2-3 days. However, Emreli did not do so. Failure to travel to Dubai with Legia could lead to disqualification and compensation.”
It should be noted that the Legia club has started a training camp today. No training was planned on the first day. The players of the last champion of the country underwent coronavirus tests before going to the training process in Dubai, United Arab Emirates tomorrow. Emreli, who is currently in Istanbul, Turkey, is unlikely to attend the rally.
The striker, who found a lawyer in the United States, asked for help in terminating the contract by mutual consent. He blamed Legia for taking such a step. The forward said that he had suffered a psychological blow as a result of a known attack by fans, and considered it impossible for him to continue playing for the Warsaw team after the bus incident.
