The United Nations has called on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to resume talks on denuclearizing the peninsula amid the launch of a ballistic missile.
The statement came from UN Secretary General’s Spokesman Stefan Dujarric, TASS reports.
“The UN Secretary-General is aware of the missile launch and believes that diplomatic contacts and negotiations remain the only way to achieve full and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” Dujarric said.
It should be noted that the DPRK fired a ballistic missile from a ground device today. The missile landed in the Sea of Japan.
