In the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, all office buildings are under tight security.
According to Report, this was reported by Sputnik.kz with reference to the head of the Kazakh police department.
“All administrative buildings in the capital of Kazakhstan are under strict protection,” said Yerzhan Sadenov, head of the PD (Police Department-ed.).
At the same time, all flights in the capital have been canceled until 12 o’clock local time (until 10:00 Baku time – red).
It should be noted that mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the first days of 2022. Residents of the western oil-producing cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the Mangistau region protested against the doubling of the price of liquefied petroleum gas, which later spread to other cities. On January 4 and 5, clashes with security forces took place in Almaty, the former capital of the republic. The Internet has been shut down across the country, and a number of TV channels have been suspended.
