All financial institutions in Kazakhstan have suspended operations due to anti-terrorist operations and Internet outages.
According to Report, Khabar 24 TV channel reported this with reference to the press secretary of the National Bank Oljas Ramazanov.
“The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Bank of Kazakhstan inform about the suspension of all financial institutions, taking into account anti-terrorist operations by law enforcement agencies and temporary Internet outages,” Ramazanov said.
He noted that the event is also aimed at protecting the health and lives of employees and customers of financial institutions.
Sputnik Kazakhstan reported that there were no protesters on the streets of Almaty in the morning. According to the agency, many shops in the city were robbed, windows were broken and traffic lights were removed. It is noted that PDMs and armored vehicles surrounded the robbers in the center of Almaty.
