Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in southern Iran on Friday, with at least nine people dead.

The head of Iran’s National Anti-Crisis Office, Ismail Neccar, said that nine people were killed in the recent floods and rains, including five in Fars province, two in Kerman and two in Sistan-Baluchistan province.
He reminded that heavy rains damaged 101 cities and 309 regions. He noted that the delivery of aid to citizens continues in 17 provinces.
Earlier, Mujahid Debistani, head of the fire department in the Darab district of Fars province, said that three people were killed in floods and lightning caused by heavy rains in southern Iran.
