Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has called on parliamentarians not to prevent the deployment of their troops to Kazakhstan as part of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) peacekeeping force.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page, reports TASS.
“We do not send our soldiers to open fire on our Kazakh brothers. We are confident that our soldiers who do not open fire on their own people will not open fire on our Kazakh brothers. On the contrary, we send them to help strengthen stability,” Japarov said.
Today, the Kyrgyz parliament could not consider sending troops to Kazakhstan due to lack of quorum. The meeting was postponed to January 7.
