The number of people infected with the coronavirus has increased by 71 percent in the last two weeks.
This was reported by the World Health Organization (WHO).
At a briefing today, Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus, the organization’s director general, expressed concern that the goal of vaccinating 70 percent of the world’s population by July would not be achieved.
“At the current rate of vaccination, this will not be achieved in 109 countries.”
The head of the organization also noted that in some countries, health workers are not vaccinated, while in some countries the fourth dose is given.
