The United Nations has called for an end to violence in Kazakhstan.
The statement came from the Office of the UN Secretary-General, TASS reports.
“Demonstrations in Kazakhstan should be peaceful,” the office said.
According to the report, UN representatives have repeatedly contacted the Kazakh authorities regarding the situation in the country.
Today, the organization’s secretary general’s special envoy for Central Asia Natalya German had a telephone conversation with Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Akan Rakhmetullin. During the talks, it was noted that the organization continues to closely monitor the situation in Kazakhstan.
