“It is questionable whether Margarita Simonyan, who re-emerged with provocative views on the events in Kazakhstan, is considered a journalist.”
The statement came from Fuad Huseynaliyev, director of the Report News Agency, commenting on the provocative views of Margarita Simonyan, a Russian journalist of Armenian descent, on the events in Kazakhstan on CBC TV.
Thus, the TV channel asked whether Margarita Simonyan was a journalist or a politician.
Huseynaliyev noted that Simonyan is a propagandist.
“In most cases, it is not the mouthpiece of Russia, but of certain circles, and possibly even Armenia. Sometimes these circles themselves create such uncertainty,” Huseynaliyev said.
In his speech, the head of the agency also stressed that Simonyan’s shares were provocative.
In the program, Russian journalist Saadat Kadyrova and academician Asaf Hajiyev also voiced their views on the issue.
