In Brazil, the mayor’s office of Rio de Janeiro has banned the sale, publication and distribution of the book “Mein Kampf” (“My Struggle”) by the leader of Nazi Germany, dictator Adolf Hitler.
The law was signed by the head of the city administration Eduardo Paez, reports TASS.
According to the document, the ban applies to the work as a whole, its individual parts in print and electronically. Violators were threatened with suspension or termination of the license to sell books, warnings or fines.
A fine of 5,000 reais (about $ 900) was imposed for publishing and distributing the book.
It should be noted that “Mein Kampf” is a book that reflects the life, political views and nationalist-socialist views of A. Hitler.
