A mobile phone shop in Ismayilli was robbed. The victim appealed to the district police department and said that 10 mobile phones worth about 4,160 manat and about 300 manat were stolen from the facility.
According to the Sheki regional group of the Interior Ministry’s Press Service, a Baku resident suspected of committing the crime as a result of search operations carried out by police officers in connection with the appeal has been arrested several times for theft. Durar Gasimov, who served a total of 22 years in prison, was detained.
Measures taken around the detainee revealed that he stole telephone cards, money, food products from two more stores in Ismayilli, as well as mobile phones from several facilities in Gazakh and Baku. In his testimony, Gasimov confessed to the crime, and said that he sold his mobile phones, which he had obtained through criminal means, in different cities and regions of the country at several times cheaper prices. It should be noted that several phones were found in his possession and seized as material evidence.
A criminal case has been launched at the Ismayilli District Police Department, and investigation is under way.
