Mass methyl alcohol poisoning was registered in the Russian city of Tyumen.
The statement came from the Tyumen Region Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee, TASS reports.
According to the investigation, since January 3, 2022, unlicensed methyl alcohol has been sold to several citizens at retail outlets on Stavropolskaya and Rizhskaya streets in Tyumen.
Nine people died as a result of alcohol called “Siberian springs”.
According to the report, four people selling low-quality products have already been detained.
