The scope of the paid public works program implemented on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev will be expanded in 2022 on the basis of joint projects with various agencies.
This was stated at a meeting on the activities of the DOST Work Center under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population (MLSP).
The special importance of the paid social work program in ensuring the employment of unemployed and job-seekers was emphasized. In recent years, significant work has been done in cooperation with a number of agencies to diversify the program into new areas of employment.
It was noted at the meeting that the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Defense, the ASAN service, the YASHAT Foundation, the Mediation Council and others were involved in the paid public works program covering 56,000 jobs last year. Joint projects with agencies have been implemented. The process of allocating a number of public jobs for these organizations has been implemented under these projects. In recent days, 1,231 unemployed and job-seekers have been involved in postal and operator work at Azerpoct LLC and Aztelekom LLC under a new joint project covering 60 districts.
In general, unemployed and job-seekers hired on the basis of employment contracts within the framework of projects with various organizations also acquire basic professional and professional skills in relevant fields during their employment. This expands their future employment opportunities.
The meeting also discussed the work done to monitor the implementation of the program, ensuring transparency in this area, the attendance of paid public workers, the protection of their labor.
